A few weeks ago we told you about the next functionality that would come to the largest social network of photography. We talk about the possibility to download your photos and videos on Instagram , a tool that arrives in order to comply with the new data protection law of the European Union, the GDPR and that will allow us Download all the content that we have uploaded to Instagram.
Now the social network has updated its service so that we can download Instagram photos. But not only that, with the new tool “Data download” we will be able to export in addition to all the photos and videos of our Instagram profile, the Stories that we have saved, information of our profile and comments that we have made or received in our publications.
It seems it is new Instagram functionality is now available in the web version of the social network so that very soon will come to the Instagram version for iOS and Android devices. Keep in mind that the new l ey of privacy GDPR of the European Union will come into force from next May 25, 2018 so the Instagram team should be in a hurry to get launch this new functionality on iOS and Android devices.
Although this function is not yet enabled through the official Instagram application, we can use our mobile phone or tablet to download our Instagram photos, in addition to the rest of the contents uploaded to the social network.
To do this we must open Chrome and from the Settings, located in the upper right corner of the browser mark the option “Website for computers.” The next step will be e Enter the Instagram page and identify with our username and password.
Once we have opened our profile, we just need access this link to be able to start the process download all the photos, videos, comments and stories that we have uploaded to the social network.
Now we just have to wait since Instagram will send us a message with a link within 48 hours so we can download all the content . In this way, the social network prevents users from using third-party applications to download our content, in addition to complying with the new regulations to protect our privacy.
