Yes, Pinkett Smith becomes sincere about his previous relationships.
In a whole new episode of her Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk the 47-year-old actress reminds of how her family reacted when she began dating a Caucasian man.
Long before she met her husband, Will Smith, Jada was romantically involved in a man named John, whom she remembers to be “a very nice guy”. She reveals that her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, was not necessarily a fan of the relationship.
“It’s really hard for me because we have white people in our family,” Adrienne, who was a guest at the show, explains. “I repeated what [my] Mommy told me where you have to learn to get in touch with white people but never take them home.”
“I did not even give an opportunity to like John,” Adrienne, whose grandson, Jason, married a white woman named Lexi, adds. “Just as said, we have people in our family [who are white] and I’ve given these people a hard time … [Lexi] says we gave her a hard time because we did not welcome her with open arms and she had to prove herself myself. I feel bad about it. “
Last month, ET spoke exclusively with Jada, where she opened about some of the problems she and she will have met during her 20 years of marriage. Jada acknowledged that there was a time when she “cried 45 days straight” during an intense accident.
“I just felt I needed more freedom,” she explained. “And freedom in the sense that … the public wants you to be a certain way, your family needs you in a certain way, your partner needs you to be something. And for me it was just never … I am really a free spirit in the heart, I’m really. And I’ve always been. And I just felt my life was penetrated into the little box and it was really outrageous. “
