WWE is halfway this year’s four-day Survivor Series release, but it has already started publishing plans for the 2019 event – and it will be in Chicago.
The crime organization tells RedEye next year wrestling mega party will be held 22-22 November at the Allstate Arena (which is technologically in Rosemont).
This year’s event is currently at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The 2019 edition represents the 30th anniversary for the last time. The Survivor Series was in Chicago in 1989.
“WWE is so proud of our relationship with our fans in Chicago,” said John Saboor, WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events, “Allstate The Arena, which dates back to when it was known as Rosemont Horizon, has been such an important partner for WWE, dating back to the 80’s. “
The overall feature of the Survivor Series is WWE’s raw and Smackdown brands against each other ̵
1; the only annual WWE event when this happens.
Next year’s events in Chicago will also include a first in the programming. In earlier presentations, the four-day schedule with the developmental NXT League standings, Saturday, the main Survivor Series event on Sunday, began Raw and Smackdown during their traditional Monday and Tuesday slots on the US network.
Smackdown moves to Fox in 2019, and it will then move to Friday in the Survivor Series schedule, making it the first event in the presentation.
“I think the entire WWE family and universe are looking forward to the move from Tuesday to Friday evenings,” Saboor said. “What an exciting springboard.”
Matches and ticket prices for next year’s event are TBA.
“Chicago has consistently an electrical atmosphere and audience. It’s really something, he says.” Our superstars, with high frequency, mention that Allstate is one of their most favorite places in the country to compete. “
