Coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters on the morning shooter that Butler’s absence was not related to his trade request.
“He lacked all training camps, basically so he only has general tenderness,” said Thibodeau.

Butler told the network that he would play against Warriors and dispute speculation that he put out Wednesday in protest against Wolves’ lack of effect on his desire to be treated somewhere.
“Because my body hurts and I do not want to go out there and risk injury, people do things up? Butler said.
Thibodeau was noncommittal when asked if Butler would join the team on the trip.
Butler scored 32 points in 37 minutes in Minnesota winning Monday against Los Angeles Lakers, including all five of their 3-point Butler did not go with the team to Dallas for the October 20 match but the planned absence from a defeat by Mavericks. The team did not train Tuesday, which forced a four-hour All-Star shooter to be sidelined. came after he played the night before the opening opener.
Wolven also ruled Jeff Teague scorer on Wednesday with a tender left knee. He injured it during the match against Lakers when he hit it against LeBron James’s knee. Thibodeau said that Teague had caution X-rays after reporting soreness and swelling.
He also said little forward Andrew Wiggins “will be ready” to play Wednesday after missing three straight games with a strained right quadriceps.
The lack of Butler and Wiggins from their spots on the wing has allowed rookie Josh Okogie to see extended playing time. Okogie, the first round draft from Georgia Tech, went 6-7 against the Lakers for a career-best 17 points.
“It will be tough, but we have the next man-up mentality, said power forward Taj Gibson.” So far, Josh has been a great surprise for us. “
