If there is something curious in the world of telephony – and in the world of computers in some cases – there are many users who think that absolutely everything must be free, from the editing software to mobile applications, without taking into account at all the work behind them. And no, we are not referring to applications like Twitter or Facebook, but applications behind which there are small developers.
Whether in iOS, Android or Windows, the truth is that there are people who think so, however, the fact is that Apple users are more used to paying for applications, and this, in our opinion, can be explained -from our point of view- For several reasons that we are going to see next, what do you think they will be?
We recommend you | It shows what we all know: on Android we hate paying for apps
Without wanting to fall into a topic that does not seem an absolute truth, far from it, it seems to us that many iOS applications are much more careful -or at least they work better- than their counterparts in Android. And the same goes for certain payment applications.
And is that if you take a look at applications like Twitter or Instagram on both platforms, you will see that there are few changes, but the operation is somewhat more fluid in the iOS version. Besides that, generally, the buttons are arranged in a more accessible way than in Android, as is the case with Twitter.
These are just a couple of examples of two free applications, but, if you take a look at the most popular payment applications on iOS, we can find examples such as the Afterlight 2 photo editor, Sky Guide or AutoSleep, applications with a brutal design that undoubtedly fall in love with many users.
While, in Android, beyond some applications that match as CamToPlan or MotorSport, the vast majority of the most popular payment applications are games like Minecraft, Geometry Dash or Samorost 3. Games that, while they can be very addictive, they do not provide any added value as an application beyond entertainment. Maybe there should be more quality apps on Android?
Another reason why we think that Apple users are more accustomed to paying for applications is because, in many cases, they have it easier. And, when creating an Apple ID, the user’s payment data is also required, and, Although there is a method to omit them, many people usually introduce them. At the end of the day it is Apple, and it has gained some respect with the issue of security.
However, many Android users do not have these data entered, although you can pay for PayPal in a much simpler process than with the credit card. And, simply, the convenience of having the payment data already entered and ready to pay for an application makes, in the moment of truth, we think much less.
