WhatsApp will warn you when someone has forwarded one of your messages

Whatsapp wants you to know when they have resent one of your messages. Therefore, the company seems to be working on including in the app a new function that consists of the appearance of a warning each time another contact, either in a group or in a private conversation, forward one of your messages to another chat.

While at the moment this feature is not active for everyone , since WABetaInfo they have already shown us how it works, besides pointing out that it will arrive in a future version of the most used messaging app in the world.

The operation of this feature is simple: every time someone forwards a message from another contact, to another conversation, the message in question will be marked as “Forwarded” in the original chat, through a label that will appear at the top of the message, and that will be visible to all users of the conversation.

Although it will be somewhat more difficult to discover who has forwarded a message within a group with several members, In private conversations it will be possible to know if the recipient has decided to share our message with third parties . On the other hand, from WABetaInfo they ensure that, once the message has been forwarded, the name of the sender of the message will not appear.

For now, this option is only available in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android . In the coming weeks, the function will end up reaching all users of the messaging platform, including the versions for iOS and Windows Phone.
