CABUL, Afghanistan (AP) – US military says three US service members have been killed in a bombing against Afghanistan’s roads in eastern Ghazni province.
The military says three other officials were wounded when an improvised explosive device detonated on Tuesday near the city of Ghazni, the provincial capital. An American entrepreneur was also injured.
The identities of the American accidents were not left in anticipation of the notification of their families.
Lt. Ubon Mendie, a spokesman for the American forces, said the wounded officials and contractor were evacuated and received medical care.
There was no immediate claim for liability for the attack.
The Taliban has an extremely active presence in Ghazni province and attempted to take over the capital in August. Ghazni was the only province that did not hold parliamentary elections in October.
