Gunman not yet in storage
OCALA – A woman was shot and killed during a disputes on Saturday afternoon at Walmart in eastern Ocala.
Just before 3 o’clock the woman was delayed in an outpatient ambulance, 4980 E. Silver Springs Blvd., and then transported to a local hospital. At 3:20 pm, the authorities confirmed that the woman had died.
According to the Ocala police, the shooter and victim knew each other. They were involved in a physical dispute near the Walmart Garden Section on Saturday afternoon, and the woman shouted for help. A clerk intervened and called 911; That was when the shot was shot.
Scotty Ballard told Star-Banner that he had known the victim for about one and a half years and was her roommate. He said the victim and prison dated for about nine months but were currently apart.
Ballard knows their name, but Star-Banner keeps them back because the investigation is in progress and because it is unknown if the victim’s next family has been notified.
Ballard said the man and victim had argued all day Saturday. He wanted to come back together, but she did not.
During these arguments, the man threatened her several times and once said he “got strapped” for her, Ballard said.
Ballard and the woman went to Walmart to buy decor for her apartment. He was a walk when the shot took place.
So was Colleen Wade. She said she bought inside the store and went to the garden area when she heard a crash sound. Wade said she waved down once and saw a man standing over a woman and shooting her several times.
After the fire was fired, the man quietly left the shop. When Wade went outside she saw him on a bike.
6:00 no arrests had been announced.
