Undefeated Jayhawks stay at No. 1 in the latest AP pollen

Despite losing a first voice, Kansas is continuing No. 1 in the latest poll of the Associated Press. Kansas (9-0) defeated Villanova, who fell out in the AP Top 25, Saturday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse in a round of last season's Final Four. The 74-71 victory was the only game for the jayhawks since they moved back to the top of the college basketball. Last week, KU received 57 of the 65 first place votes to take back the top spot for the first time since falling from its first season's No. 1 ranking. This time, Kansas received 56 polls and Duke earned five. Tennessee received two first voting values, while Michigan and Virginia each netted one. The jayhawks have hinted with at least five points in seven of their nine victories so far and have won an average winning margin of 8.4 points. The KU hosts South Dakota at 19:00. Tuesday.
