Apple’s relatively budget-friendly iPhone XR launched yesterday, and we have a practical look at the best new features of the colorful device. This 6.1-inch iPhone is very cheaper than iPhone XS, but comes with many of the same features. Is iPhone XR iPhone you should consider buying? See our video review when we explore the best iPhone XR features.
The biggest advantage of the iPhone XR compared to the iPhone XS is the starting price. At $ 749, 64GB iPhone XR is $ 250 cheaper than the cheapest iPhone XS. If you’re on a budget, but you’re on the market for a new iPhone, the iPhone XR is really worth considering.
If 64GB of storage is not enough for you, iPhone XR can be configured with 128GB of storage for only $ 50 extra. More time than not, Apple storage upgrades are available at $ 100, but you can double your iPhone XR storage for just half of it.
iPhone XR with its 6.1-inch screen sits between iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max as far as screen size goes. Although I’m a fan of the 6.5-inch screen found on the iPhone XS Max, it can not be denied that it can be a bit uncomfortable, and I have quite big hands. 6.1 inches is a manageable size to use a handheld smartphone, while it is slightly larger than the iPhone X and iPhone XS screen.

iPhone XR can be the so-called “budget” phone, but it’s impossible to get around the fact that it shares a lot of the same DNA with the flagship iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. In fact, you will find the same A12 Bionic processor in iPhone XR as you do in iPhone XS. Not only is the A12 faster than the A11 in the latest generation of iPhone X, but it’s significantly more capable of machine learning, graphics, and image processing.
Although it lacks the dual camera setting of its advanced cousin, the iPhone XR has the same wide-angle camera available in the more expensive iPhone XS. A 32% larger 12MP sensor gives larger pixels resulting in noticeably better low light output.
Connecting to iPhone XS, iPhone XR has the ability to shoot 1080p video at 60 frames per second with the front facing TrueDepth camera.
Portrait Mode on iPhone XR is impressive, as the device has a single wide-angle lens instead of dual lens camera housing on iPhone X and iPhone XS. Because portrait mode on the iPhone XR relies on the wide-angle lens, it makes it easier to capture portrait self-adhesive and comes with enhanced low-light performance.
You can adjust the background color in portrait mode photos using the Edit feature in the Photos app. A future iOS update also makes it possible to adjust real-time background sharpness in the camera’s app.
Smart HDR was one of my favorite new features on the iPhone XS, as it allows better images that contain dark subjects, bright subjects or a blend of both. Smart HDR lets your photos maintain details that would otherwise have gone lost, and it will do it automatically.
iPhone has had stereo playback capabilities, but it’s just the ability to record stereo video with the latest generation devices. Stereo video recording lets you hear left and right stereo separation right on your iPhone.
If you shoot video at 30 frames per second, the iPhone XR can automatically shoot down to 24 frames per second to
Thanks to the introduction of the TrueDepth camera on the front of iPhone XR lets users enjoy Face ID, the biometric security technology that lets you unlock your iPhone and authenticate with your face. And because the iPhone XR uses the same advanced face ID as found in the just released iPhone XS, unlocking and authentication with your iPhone XR is even faster than it was on iPhone X.
iPhone XR is the first iPhone since the undervalued iPhone 5c has a wider range of colors. If you’re tired of the same old space of gray, silver and gold colors, the iPhone XR, with its white, black, blue, yellow, coral and red finish, is a fresh air.
Several new iPhone XR-centered wallpapers help accentuate the colorful nature of Apple’s “Budget” iPhone. However, if you have another iPhone model, we have removed wallpaper for download here.
The most interesting thing about the iPhone XR is the almost steady LCD screen. To save money, Apple used LCD technology instead of more expensive OLED panels. Dragging such a full screen design with LCD technology was no easy achievement, and Apple notes this by marking the Liquid Retina screen as the most advanced LCD screen in any smartphone.
The Liquid Retina display is also the largest LCD screen Apple has ever produced for iPhone. It’s bigger than the iPhone 8 Plus display, but the overall device is physically smaller than the iPhone 8 Plus.
Considering the best iPhone XR features, this may be the most impressive of all of them. The IPhone XR has the best battery life ever. It even has a better battery life than the advanced iPhone XS Max flagship device.
iPhone XR is the first iPhone sporty LCD technology sent without a home button. Just like iPhone X, intuitive gestures are employed to control many of the important aspects of your iPhone.
Tap to wake up first appeared with iPhone X, but this is a feature that has been a staple of Android phones for several years. When you’re used to it, it’s hard to go back to the need to push a button to wake up the phone.
3D Touch is nowhere on iPhone XR, so Apple used the use of haptic feedback for some interactions. Double, Haptic Touch, this prolonged long press operation is convenient for affecting the lock screen flashlight or the various elements of the Control Center.
iPhone XR offers the best value for money on all iPhone. Its price, battery life, processor, camera and color options make it a strong competitor for the best iPhone in Apple’s current range. We’ll be back with a more in-depth comparison between iPhone XS and iPhone XR. Listen to the comments below with your thoughts on the best iPhone XR features.
