One year and three months later of your presentation, the LG G6 has undergone a name change . Although all eyes are on the recent, what, the South Korean firm has decided to look back and update its flagship of the first half of last 2017, to make it part of the ThinQ family of devices with artificial intelligence from its catalog.
The change, which has been effective for the moment only in some markets such as Canada, transforms the original LG G6 into the LG G6 ThinQ . Beyond that, the specifications have not changed at all, and the only addition is the news at the level of artificial intelligence
The first time that LG decided to carry out this strategy was with the LG V30, which during the MWC 2018 was presented again under the name ofadopting AI-based novelties such as camera systems such as AI CAM or Q Lens.
Now, this same change of name suffers the previous LG G6 , that in the, already has the new name, although the features remain intact with respect to the previous generation, and the news of the G7 ThinQ should arrive with the update to Android 8.0 Oreo.
We do not know if this change will be effective in all markets. If so, it would be curious to see how LG continues to give importance to a phone with just over a year behind, through news coming through new software updates. At least it is guaranteed that the LG G6 ThinQ has still a rope for a while.
