kernel site seemed to go offline monday about 1 p.m. East time, but functionality returned for some users within about an hour. Attempting to navigate to the site earlier Monday led to a message saying “Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll fix it as soon as we can.” While the mobile application was still working for some, Facebook’s Developer Status Blog returned the same message. Instagram seemed to work normally. At 2 o’clock, websites seemed to work, but there was no indication of any problem on Facebook’s status blog. Facebook did not respond to a request for information that was made when the site went offline.
