Sony Worldwide Studios announced the change on PlayStation Blog:
We want to share a change in the release date for this highly anticipated title from Bend Studio. We recently decided to move the release of Days Gone from the overflowing February period to April 26, 2019. While the studio is keen to watch Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity in charge of further polishing Days Gone .
Days Gone is an open world game where players will take the role of Deacon St. John, a cyclist who only tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic and infected dynamic world. If the condition sounds familiar, it is because it resembles a number of different characteristics. Bend Studio promises that the game will offer a live and changing open world that will make each player’s experience unique to the game, even though its core premiere is still known.
Days Gone has been a splitting and polarizing title, with many who consider it potentially derivative. We’ve enjoyed it a lot on the many occasions we’ve had a chance to preview, as it’s more than just a copy of other PS4 exclusive or zombie games. With general hype levels that are not nearly as high for Days Gone as former PS4 exclusive-like God of War, Detroit: Become Human or Spider-Man – it makes sense that Sony would like to move the game to a less crowded outlet window to breathe. The added polish is only icing on the cake.
How do you know Days Gone the delay? Are you eager to take care of Bend Studios latest? Do not forget that Bend Studio also hires a brand new triple-A IP, so it seems as if they will move on to new things once Days Gone released.
Days Gone Releases April 26, 2019 exclusively on PS4.
