PlatinumGames is the study responsible for a success like Bayonetta , and after triumphing in the world of consoles, now have decided to make the leap to our smartphones. The title chosen for this change will receive the name of World of Demons , and taking a look at the first material available, it seems that this future game will have to talk.
And what’s World of Demons about? Well it is a ” hack-and-slash “in which we will handle a brave samurai from medieval Japan, which has the mission of end with the “Oni” , monsters that are corrupting the so-called creatures ” Yokai ” and sowing chaos in the earth.
For now it is too early to draw informed conclusions about World of Demons, but we do know that the whole game will have a aesthetics of ink on wood, a style of painting typical of medieval Japan and intended to transport us to that time.
According to PlatinumGames, it has been difficult to move all the action of a hack-and-slash to the screen of a smartphone, so we will use sliding gestures both to move the character and to attack, gestures that will be accompanied by Japanese symbols that we will have to draw on the screen to deal deadly blows and combos.
The dynamics of World of Demons also takes into account the Yokai that we are saving, which we can invoke during the game to give us a hand, very Pokemon style. Each Yokai has a series of exclusive abilities, and it will be the player’s task to decide which Yokai to use against each type of enemy, being some of these creatures quite exclusive and difficult to obtain.
It is nothing new that the avant-garde titles give the kick-off on the iPhone, and in this case, it does not seem that this trend will change. So, these users will be the first to enjoy World of Demons, although its creators have promised that It will be available for Android soon after.
World of Demons will be a free game, although there will be the classic micropayments to get additional skills and extras. If you want to be among the first to try this title, there is a pre-registration available at worldofdemons.com.
