Teenage witch returns, but she looks a little different.
Actor Kiernan Shipka, “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”, is completely different to Sabrina Spellman than “90’s Comedy” Sabrina the Teenage Witch. “But that does not mean that the old version is not worth reviewing. And when you’re on it, how about visiting more witches?
To honor the release of” Chilling “and Halloween weekend, we recommend these five TV shows and movies with our favorite wigs. Whether you want to laugh, be excited or be afraid, we have a witch for you.
The new version of “Sabrina” on Netflix is less a reboot of the Melissa Joan Hart version and more a completely different show that follows the comedian’s horror roots closer. This allows the two wizards to live together in harmony, and to revise the original is an incredible amount of fun. From the goofy special effects of Aunt Hilda (Caroline Rhea) and Tant Zelda (Beth Broderick) to Hunky Harvey (Nate Richert), “Teenage Witch” is the epitome of a TGIF classic.

The new CW version of “Charmed” is not quite well, the charm of the original. But do not worry, all eight seasons of the original are available to stream. There is nothing like the mix of camp and soap opera drama that made the “Charmed” tick, not to mention an endless variety of crop tops. Whether you’re biased with the sister trio Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milan, or if you like the years when Rose McGowan entered, Power of Three will definitely give you freedom.

One of the best movies about witches is also one of the best films about sisterhood. This 90’s cool classical follows silly Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Wild Gillian (Nicole Kidman) who fly to his Massachusetts hometown after killing Gillian’s brutal boyfriend. Come for the magic, stop for the infamous midnight margaritas scene.

See, we do not need to tell you that “Hocus Pocus” is good, especially if you are a millennium of a certain age. And we do not even necessarily tell you how to stream it, because it routinely plays on cable several times during October. But for the small proportion of you who have never seen it or have not seen it since childhood, it is worth revisiting the incredible extravaganza of witches and magic. It’s a comedy that can still scare some children, and Kathy Najimy, Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker play their cool trio of witches with such joy, their enthusiasm is incredibly contagious.
Rent or purchase it on Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, Vudu, or YouTube.
Witches can be very fun, but they can also be terrifying. This 1
8th century horror film is playing society’s fear of young women and their growing sexuality, while we make all the clichés we know witches scary again. The psychological horror that seizes a small farm when a baby is missing is almost as scary as anything that happens in the movie’s heart-ending act. The film also introduced the world to Anya Taylor-Joy, a star in the production if we have ever seen one.
