Texans vs. Titan final result, takeaways: Houston wandered to take control of AFC South

Tennessee Titans has been NFL’s most inconsistent team this season. The kind of team that can respond to a loss season-opening loss with three straight wins, including one over the defending champion eagles. The type of team that can follow the three consecutive wins with three consecutive losses, including one to the bills. The kind of team that can return from an afternoon night with convincing gains over the cowboys and patriots, just to be blown out of Colts a week later.

For a while there looked like the good titans were those who would appear against the division’s rival Houston Texans on Monday night. Tennessee marched right down the field for a field goal at its first run, the Texans held a three-and-a-second on their first possession and then received a 61

-yard touchdown from second-hand narrow end Jonathan Smith on the next unit.

They were even about to answer a Demaryius Thomas with their own score … but they stopped at a 4 and 1 inside the Texans 5-yard line when they demanded a jumble-putting hand-end to tight than Luke Stocker, who was raised as an up-back to the game. Stocker was filled, Titans turned the ball over to falls, Lamar Miller took the next snap 97 yards to the house and saved for a Corey Davis touchdown that gave Titans an instant glimpse of hope, it was almost all Houston from there.

Miller, Alfred Blue and Deshaun Watson combine to race for 282 meters on 33 berries. De Anders Hopkins dominated his usual. The defense could eventually put back his ears and consistently come after Marcus Mariota and kicked him five times. It was too much for Titans to overcome.

Texans ended with a 34-17 victory, their eighth consecutive victory after starting the year 0-3. Some of these gains were of their-teeth-black, but this one was quite convincing. The Texans now take on the No. 3 seed in AFC, and have control of AFC South. They have a year-end which is quite advantageous. They have a quarterback receiver duo who can break a big game from anywhere on the field. They have a defense that boasts star signs along the front line. They are not yet in mix with the best teams in AFC, but they are likely in the next level, just behind the ladder. Considering how they started the season it is quite impressive.

Here are some more things to know about Texan’s 34-17 win.

Lamar Miller Breaks Out

It has been a strange season for Lamar Miller. He has had a lot of berries all year, but before Monday night he had not done much with them except in a two-game stretch where he ran for 233 meters on 40 berries Jaguar and dolphins. In his other seven games, he had combined to take 105 berries only 378 meters.

However, this game was very different. Miller got only 12 totes, but he did a lot with them and racked up 162 meters on the ground. Thus he joined Arian Foster on an exclusive Texan list.

Most of the damage came on this game.

The bear gave Miller sole possession of a pretty cool NFL record. He is now the only player in the NFL story with at least two rushing touchdowns of 95 meters or more, according to NFL’s internal research department.

Miller had a 97-yard touchdown run back in 2014, when he was still a member of the Miami Dolphins. The latest non-Miller 95-plus-yard touchdown driver is Chester Taylor, who did it for the folds back in 2006. Corey Dillon, Ahman Green and Tiki Barber are the only other players in this century with touchdown runs of 95 meter or more.

Controversial ruling helps the Texans

In the beginning of the fourth quarter Deshaun Watson rose through his pocket and scampered through Titan’s defense for a 34-foot win. It was typical Watson, first with his legs to keep the game alive and then use them to move their team down the field.

But it seemed as if the ball popped out of Watson’s hands before he hit the ground, and Titan’s coach Mike Vrabel challenged the game because he also felt that way. But the original ruling was held by review, Houston held the ball, and Watson found Demaryius Thomas for one point two actors later. And that was pretty much everything she wrote.

J. J. ups wattage

We were spoiled by J.J. Watt back in the early 2010’s. We assumed that he was an annual force of nature that made absurd things and destroyed contradictory crimes in a general way. From 2012 to 2015, Watt picked up 315 tackles, 119 of them for loss. He played 190 quarterback hits and 69 bags. He made four Pro Bowls and four All-Pro first teams and was named three times for the Defensive Player of the Year.

And then he disappeared basically for 2016 and 2017 seasons when he treated various injuries. Watt played only eight matches during the two years and did not look like his usual self when he was on the field. This man has been back this year and dominates in every way, and he did it again on monday night.

Watt had nine tackles, including one for loss. He met Marcus Mariota twice, kicked him once (his eleven in 11 games) and forced a fumble on that game.

It’s so good to get this dominant version of one of the best defensive players in the league back. Enjoy it.

Mariotas strange night

Take a look at Marcus Mariotas box number. Do it right now and then come back. We are waiting here.

OK. Are you back? Good. Marcus Mariota was 22 of 23 for 303 meters and two touchdowns! And yet it did not look as if he was playing everything so well? Mariota checked down pretty much all night. He got 109 of his passing laps and both his touchdowns on two games, and first contained a busted cover and long after the capture while the other was a good throw but also saw two Texan defenders run into each other, allowing Corey Davis to trot in the end zone.

Mariota threw only three passes beyond 15 meters down the field – all to Davis. His big night also made him in a strange business, as he became the second quarterback to try at least 15 passes, finishing at least 90 percent of these passports and still losing. Per ESPN:

As we said above: weird night.

Welcome to the Offensive, Demaryius Thomas

On his first run with Houston Texans, Demaryius Thomas had two catches for 49 meters. Later in the first quarter of the game he received a new pass for 12 meters. For the rest of the game he was not directed at once. During hell 11 he was not focused.

This week Thomas was taken back this week. Things started with a 12-yard touchdown catching on a really nice route in the Red Zone, where he hit Adoree Jackson inside the lever and broke back and made a nice grip.

On the next run he took a screen card, avoided some tackles and got the Texans first down. He disappeared a while after that but came up with a big third round in the fourth quarter and made a controversial catch over the middle to extend a run, burn a bit more time and eventually get the Texans a few points – as he did himself with a 10 -yard touchdown capture.

Slayer Keke Coutee left the game with another injury, so the Texans could end up due to Hopkins even more in the next few weeks.

Your week De Anderson Hopkins absurdity

Thomas eventually got the zone twice, but Hopkins led the Texans in both catches and receiving laps, which he almost always does. Two plays in particular stick out. It was a jumping grip on a crossroads in the first quarter, which he did look incredibly easy. And then there were some ridiculously nice footwear and gloves on the right sideline late in the second quarter, setting up a Texan field goal that extended its lead to 14 points.

This guy is just real, really good.

What’s next?

The Texans are now 8-3 and control both AFC South and No. 3 seed in the conference. They have a home date with Browns next week (1:00 ET, CBS, CBS, CBS All Access or fuboTV) and finish the season with competitions against Colts, Jets, Eagles and Jaguars. Win will pack up a playoff spot, but if they can go something like 4-1 or better, they might get a first round if the patriots fall. The titans are 5-6 on the edge of the playoff image and their upcoming schedule (Jets, Jaguars, Giants , Washington, Colts) is beneficial, but it’s hard to expect any of these games to be safe, given how inconsistent the team has been throughout the season. 19659002] Watch our live blog at the festival below.
