Elon Musk already said that it will look like Model 3.

For people who are familiar with Tesla’s current vehicle series, model 3 is expected to be model X is model S – which means a slightly longer and longer version of the most sold all-electric sedan.

Over the years, Tesla has released some teasers pictures of model Y and today the automaker released what seems to be an updated version before unveiling next week.

As you can see, Model Y still has no side mirrors, which is still not legal in the United States, but there is an attempt to change it.

The Audi e-tron has been introduced with virtual side mirrors, which consist of cameras and screens that replace the mirrors to reduce the outside surface of the car for better aerodynamic performance.

The system was approved in Europe, but they are still working to make it legal in the US, where the e-throne will be available only with side mirrors for now.

It has the potential to increase the efficiency of vehicles and thus the interval.

Here is another model Y-teaser image released by Tesla last year:

Model Y will be presented at Teslas Design Studio in Hawthorne, California at 8 pm PDT.

Electrek’s Take

I don’t expect to be surprised by the model Y design. As I wrote above, it sounds like it will be for model 3 what model X is for model S.

As I said, I think that the model 3 design will be put into good use in a small SUV / crossover vehicle and Even though it will not be anything surprising, it should still be amazing.

When it comes to lack of side mirrors, Tesla and Audi may be able to try to squeeze it with American regulators.
