Here is the AP Round:
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – Kevin Byard secured the intercept that kicked the sluggish Tennessee Titans and turned to the midfield.
The return to Dallas Cowboys was as disheartening as the original.
Byard imitated Terrell Owens mocking celebration on the 50-yard line starring 1
8 years ago, Marcus Mariota accounted for three touchdowns and the titans destroyed Amari Cooper’s Dallas debut with a 28 -14 victory on Monday night.
The final son picking up the Dak Prescott camera e after Mariota fumbled on the first two Tennessee possessions. Just like T.O. did at the old Texas Stadium 18 years ago Byard jumped to midfield under the big video table at the spacious AT & T Stadium and spread his arms.
Owens did it twice in an outflow San Francisco wins over a bad Dallas team that time. This victory of the Titans (4-4) finished their three-game losing streak while leaving the Cowboys (3-5) their first loss in four home matches and made their way to playoffs a difficult one.
“It was huge,” said Mariota from Byard, while admitting he did not see the celebration. “The defense has done an incredible job throughout the year to build us. They found ways to give us gigs to get sales.”
The Cowboys looked like the team on their way to a blowout but led only 7-0 after Marietta’s early mishaps due to Brett Maher’s missed 38-foot field goal at the opening possession and Prescott’s illegitimate throw into double coverage.
“It was the difference, simple as that,” said Prescott, who lost a fumble on his 40-yard line to set up Tennissons tiebreaking points in the third quarter. “Defense gives a turnover there. We are up seven points and I go down and try to force the ball and give it back to them.”
Cooper made the first Dallas touchdown after DeMarcus Lawrence took the ball from Mariota. The Pro Bowl recipient on two occasions ended with five catches for 58 meters after coming over from Oakland in a first-class deal during the open week.
Given another chance when there would have been a third straight fumble to start the game was wrapped in a review that showed that Luke Stocker did not hold the ball long enough for a catch, Mariota led an 80-meter unit defined by Derrick Henrys 1-yard dunkel for a 7-7 tie.
Mariota converted two thirds and 9s with passes and a shorter third with a run on their first TD drive, which set the stage for Titans to convert 11 out of 14 third downs.
The cowboys fell in 15-year-old fast-lane Jason Witten’s first trip home after becoming the leading Monday Night Football analyst.
Dallas only had 108 meters in the second half – the majority of those who desperately drove two points late – and encountered several times at the end of failed units.
After finishing third place with Nobo Dy, Tennessee realizes ringing in a 7-7 game in the second quarter, Mariota finished a 36-yarder to Darius Jennings before a screen card for Dion Lewis went 18m for a touchdown .
Mariota broke a 14-14 tie in the third quarter as he pulled the ball out of Lewis gut in the last second and delivered a 7-yard spade pass to Jon Smith to put Titans forward for good. Mariota’s 9-yard scoring runs all but sealed things by 4:38 to go.
Mariota was 21 of 29 for 240 meters without interception and had 32 meters of rush. Lewis had 62 meters of rush and 60 received comes from a career-high 155 scrimmage lap in his latest game.
Star Dallas runs back Ezekiel Elliott finished 61 meters after a hot start. Prescott was 21 of 31 for 243 meters and two points – 4 meters to Cooper and 23 meters to Allen Hurns. The two sales were Prescott’s first home this season.
There was something else that was familiar with Byard’s celebration: a Dallas defender tried to do something about it.
George Teague beat Owens offensive of the star then and Cowboys cornerback Byron Jones made a similar move on Byard and the group that joined the celebration. Owens seemed to get a kick of it all on Twitter.
“I actually expected someone to knock their heads,” said Byard, who was thinking of the possible celebration at the team hotel. “I was like,” If we reach 50, if we get enough guys to 50, we’ll just start dancing on the star. “”
The Cowboys acclaimed Witten with a pregame video on the giant board that hangs over the field. The franchise leader in games, catches and laps that received the dried eyes when a little effort of him was shown during the video, but seemed to have had his desire when shown on the full screen. Witten waved, smashed and dropped his chest around his heart several times as the audience broke.
Dallas LB Sean Lee pulled up with a hamstring injury while trying to cover Smith on a 26-yard finish to Titan’s tight end. Lee did not return. Titans WR Taywan Taylor left with what coach Mike Vrabel said was a leg injury.
