T. Rex's early cousin, Moros Intrepidus, was not that powerful

A new fossil in Utah shows that a previous iteration of the behemote stood just 3 meters to 4 meters long and weighed about 170 pounds. One team led by North Carolina State University paleontologist Lindsay Zanno has dubbed this version Moros intrepidus, meaning "harbinger of doom," reports CNN. The name is a node to what the design creature would develop into millions of years on the road. Moros lived about 96 million years ago, before the dinosaur we know as T-rex by 30 million years, and the discovery can help shed light on the relatively weak fossil record of this development.
