A man and a woman were killed and four were injured – including an 11-year-old girl – in a shooting outside of a Brownsville convenience store at 9:15 pm Friday night, Miami-Dade Police said.

According to investigators, shots were fired into a small crowd gathered outside The Heat Food Mart on 5801 NW 27th Ave. The market is next to a residential area in Miami-Dade County, just west of I-95.

When a police arrived, a large group of people ran from the parking lot. There, Miami-Dade officers saw four people on the ground who had been killed by shooting. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue decided that two of these victims had died. The injured were taken to the Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

Two hours after the shooting, two other victims approached the detective on the scene to say they were “beaten by shooting under the shot,” Miami-Dade said police early Saturday morning. One of these victims was an 11 year old girl.

The police have not released any names yet.
