Seven people, including two children, were taken to a hospital on Monday morning in Montgomery County after two school buses and at least another vehicle collided, officials said.
None of the damage were life-hardening, according to Montgomery County fire and rescue officials. The crash occurred at Gunners Branch and Frederick roads in the Germantown area.
There were different accounts when the situation was developed on Monday about how many vehicles were involved. One of the buses, according to the firemen, transported students with special needs.
The spokesman for the fire department Pete Piringer said the two children were taken to hospital “as a precaution and not injured”. Five adults had injuries that were not serious, he said.
Gboyinde Onijala, a spokesman for Montgomery County Public Schools, said that personal injury meant that a bus was a passenger. Students driving a bus where no damage occurred was taken to school by another bus.
The two buses take students to the Fox Chapel and Laytonsville elementary schools, she said.
