SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs played in an NBA record by hitting 12-straight three-point shots to start the Thursday night contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
That still wasn’t enough at the end of four quarters, so the two battled out through two extra periods before the Spurs came out on top 154-147.
LaMarcus Aldridge scored a career-high 56 points in the win, while Derick White grabbed himself 23.
Paul George and Russell Westbrook combined for 55 points total.
Both teams played admirably, neither shooting below 50 percent, but the Spurs had more shots go down.
The two meet again in Oklahoma City Saturday.
