Filming on Riverdale resumed Wednesday, March 6, after the set of the CW’s series was dark for two days cast and crew mourned the death of co-star Luke Perry. Production on the popular show was suspended on Monday, March 4, shortly after Perry died from complications following a massive stroke.

Riverdale developer / executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa wrote on Instagram Wednesday morning next to a group cast photo, featuring Perry, from the series’ early days. “Our heart, always. Tonight’s episode of #Riverdale finds Fred doing what he does best-helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run. ”
Perry played played Archie’s dad Fred Andrews on the series, based on the Archie comics. As Aguirre-Sacasa revealed earlier today, the Wednesday night’s episode of Riverdale ̵
1; the first since Perry’s death – honored the actor. It closed with a Memoriam card dedicated to Perry.
