(WILX) – Researchers in the UK looked at rates of a disease called SCFE, which causes the hip to deform and sometimes collapse.

SCFE is one of the most common reasons for hip replacement in young adults and sometimes even children. They found children who were severely obese at five years old. They were 20 times more likely to develop SCFE than their peers. .
