Ramadan has officially begun and we know what that means; long days of fasting during the hottest months of the year. So, taking care of your skin during this time will need some extra effort especially when it comes to skin hydration, which is totally important if you want to maintain a supple, smooth and youthful skin. My go-to product all year round, for almost two years now, has always been Bio-Oil. I believe it does some good for my skin, especially when it comes to hydration. That’s why I would recommend it as part of our Ramadan skin care Tips and routine, that’s if you are fasting. If not, then just add the oil somewhere within your routine.

Why Bio-Oil?

  2. As the climate changes, the skin often feels drier and irritated as there is not enough moisture on the skin due to minimal hours of sleep and lack of liquids intake. Adding a few drops to your daily bath can also be an effective way to lock-in and retain moisture into your skin. During Iftar and Suhoor, make sure you drink a lot of liquids, fresh juices, and avoid eating a lot of oily foods (not unless it’s avocado and oily fish, then you can have to your fill).   3. Another one of the Ramadan skin care tips for nourished skin would be adding a few drops of Bio-Oil while exfoliating. You can exfoliate with this natural exfoliating mask that consists of brown sugar, lemon juice extracts and a few drops of Bio-Oil. Simply scrub the target skin area in a circular motion and leave it on for a few minutes. Rinse with warm water then apply a few drops of Bio-Oil to achieve a nourished summer (fall, winter and spring) skin.
