LAKELAND, FL – Jump on this year’s flu season. The Florida Department of Health in Polk County will offer free flu shot to society this Saturday, October 27 from 8:00 to 2:00 at Farmers Market in central Lakeland (Kentucky Avenue Area).

“Influenza rejection is safe and effective and remains one’s best defense against influenza,” said Dr. Joy Jackson, director of DOH-Polk. “I encourage all residents to take this easy step to protect their health and health from their friends and family.”

Centers for Disease Control and the Florida Department of Health recommend vaccination against the flu by October 31

Influence rejection is recommended for all Floridians 6 months and older on an annual basis.
