RALEIGH, NC – North Carolina investigators make a probe in a deadly shot of a man by a police officer in the state capital, the authorities said Sunday. Soheil Antonio Mojarrad, 30, was killed in a meeting with an officer on Saturday night at a shopping center in the eastern part of the city, said Raleigh police. It is unclear what led to the shot. Officials did not immediately reveal whether the Mojarrad was armed with a weapon or other weapon when he was shot. Police identified officer involved in the shot as W.B. Edwards. Edwards was equipped with a body-worn camera at the time of the shooting but it was not activated, officials said.
