You may not have noticed, but duringheld last week, the firm just made reference to its fast charging system Dash Charge . This technology, which has been accompanying the brand’s phones since the OnePlus 6 launched in 2016, has already established itself as one of the most efficient fast charging systems in the market. Now, however, it could have to be baptized with another name, and all because of Amazon.
In fact, OnePlus itself has already begun to eliminate any reference to this name from its official website ,. And is that as they point out, the company has been denied the registration report to use this denomination in European territory.
Not only from the web all references to the aforementioned technology have been eliminated. Apparently, users of the beta version of OxygenOS, have recently discovered that when charging their devices using the charger compatible with this technology, the notice does not appear Dash Charging , but this has changed to a generic loading fast .
From OnePlus, they decided to shed some light on the matter, noting that in 2016, when the OnePlus 3 was born, an attempt was made to register the brand before the European Union and the United States. Nevertheless, the EU has rejected the use of this brand by OnePlus in March of this year , and the firm has been forced to stop using it.
But, why has the registration been rejected? The answer is Amazon, and its systemthat allows customers to order products automatically, and that it is a trademark registered by the online shopping giant. And with her, Bragi, a sound firm that also uses this brand in some of its products.
Given the Dash Charge has been one of the main attractions of OnePlus terminals from the OnePlus 3 , and this has managed to turn its technology into one of the most popular in the world, most likely the firm decides to give it a new name sooner or later. What is clear after seeing how all reference to Dash Charge has been removed, is that the Shenzhen company has no intention of fighting with Amazon to continue using the Dash brand.
