MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Two people, including an eight-year-old child, were injured in a shooting at Downtown Mobile Saturday night after a Mardi Gras parade. Witnesses tell the FOX10 News shots were fired at about 9pm near Government Street and Dearborn Street. Mobile Fire-Rescue said it treated two people with gunfire. The eight year old girl was injured in the leg. The child was taken to the University Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The second victim is a man in his late teens or in the early 20s. Mobile Fire Rescue said the man's arm was grazed with a bullet and he was treated in place. The police imprisoned at least one person on the site, but investigators have not said whether the youth is linked to the shot.
