Eddie Jackson finished Aaron Rodger’s record-breaking string at 402 tries, snagging a pass in the final zone by just over three minutes left in the match and Chicago Bears continued to set up his first NFC North title since 2010 with a 24-17 win on Soldier Field.

The loss drops Packers to 5-8-1 and officially ends their slim playoff hopes.

Colts in control: It was not Dallass’s day as Colts strengthened his status as the team nobody wants to play if they come to the post season. Indy jumped out in front of the cowboys, thanks to a blocked field goal that was determined at the time of the review to be recovered by Indianapolis. The Colts drove down the field and took a 7-0 lead on Marlon Mack’s 1-yard touchdown run and held the pressure.

So much for Cowboy’s attempt to set up NFC East.

Ravens does what they have to do: The Ravens smoked Buccaneers, 20-12, holding up pressure on Steelers as they run through a half in AFC North entering Pittsburgh’s game with New England.

Minnesota rolls: The Vikings lived alive in the playoffs and improved to 7-6-1 with a 41-17 victory over the dolphins. They are still leaders in the race for the last NFC wildcard slot.

In other games: The skinners moved to 7-7 behind Josh Johnson and hit the jaguar 16-13; The Titans closed the giants, 17-0; The bills lined 14 to 13; The Falcons beat the Cardinals 40-14; and the Bengals toppled Raiders 30-16.

Pats vs. Steelers: One of the other markings has Steelers and Patriots, where both teams are trying to recover from terrible losses (New England in Miami Miracle and Pittsburgh in Oakland). Patriots can be 9-4, but here’s why it’s especially important: Patriots have never come to a Super Bowl without a first round hello. The numbers on Sunday seem to favor Brady, who is 8-2 against Ben Roethlisberger and has won six times at Heinz Field.

The play may look different: It may well be a new quarterbacks harvest when the starting game starts. Spotrac finds that of the top 10 paid quarterbacks, only one can really play in January.

Browns are 4-2 under Intermediate coach Gregg Williams and beat Broncos 17-16 in an odd game that left the decision of both head coaches to fire. Denver Coach Vance Joseph gets second guessed to go to a field goal that left the team one point behind Cleveland and count on Broncos to get the ball back in about 2 minutes left. With the exception of Browns, the run stopped for a game-winning field goal with a fourth down bag of Jabrill Peppers. Browns ended up on a fourth-in-a-row on the Denver 10-yard line in the last two minutes, with Broncos outside timeouts. Williams put his faith in his insult and hoped for a first down that would have allowed Browns to run out of the clock. It would have worked when Broncos was called to be offside – except that Williams had called a timeout. At the show, Broncos Nick Chubb thanked for a loss of two farms on the fourth downstairs.

Tex’s top jersey: Sam Darnold scored his best game this season and passed for 253 meters and two touchdowns in the jets “29-22 loss for the Texans. Despite being fired six times, Deshaun Watson passed 294 meters and two touchdowns (with De André Hopkins capturing 10 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns), as Houston remains in operation for a playoff bye.
