NFL Playoff Image for Week 11: Alex Smith injury opens door for Dallas Cowboys playoff run

Life comes on you fast, and it’s even faster when NFL is involved. Just look at Dallas Cowboys, who managed to flip their season over the past two weeks and actually put themselves in a pretty good position for a playoff run. Imagine saying “Jason Garrett Extension” for a couple of weeks. Now it can be a reality.

Dallas came out of his day at 3-4, and needed a big home win against Titans after trading for Amari Cooper. Instead, Dallas drove in the second half of Tennessee and fell to 3-5. Everything looked gloomy until they entered Philly and stole a victory next week.

1, a second straight road wins over a dangerous home team, in this case Atlanta Falcons. Driven by a second straight 100-yards rushing game for Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys leveled their record to 5-5 and sat in excellent position to drive on the NFC East crown.

Part of this position is about bad injury happiness to his biggest obstacle with Washington Redskins losing quarterback Alex Smith to a broken leg 33 years to Joe Theismann’s famous injury. Smith goes down means that Colt McCoy has to handle quarterback tasks, which means McCoy will be getting a Texas homecoming during the holiday, with Redskins traveling to Dallas for a Thanksgiving dinner game against the Cowboys.

Early lines suggest that Cowboys will be close to a touchdown favorite. It’s a game they should win. Cowboys also have two matches at the end of the season against Buccaneers and Giants, both of which should win as well. So we look at an eight-winning team with the Saints (Home), Eagles (Home) and Colts (Road) left to deal with. Assuming many win for a Cowboys team that has come up is dangerous, but they will certainly be heavy favorites in at least three races.

Handing out 4-2 with a victory over Washington that has four of their remaining six matches along the way and a pair of matchups against the eagles can very easily stop giving the cowboys division title when all is said and done.

If this scenario plays out and Redskins also succeed in getting 9-7-3-3-3 would not be ruled out at all – Cowboys would probably have tiebreaker because in this hypothetical Cowboys, Washington won and has a better record in the division.

The unthinkable a few weeks ago can melt into reality. Cowboys may well end up hosting a playoff game.

AFC: Who is in

1. Kansas City Chiefs (9-1)

The managers play the frames in Los Angeles on Monday.

2nd Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2-1)

It was not cute, but Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger found a way to sneak out of Jacksonville with a victory. They are in pole position to win the division and get a showdown with the patriots coming up who can very well decide who stops snagging the other leg.

3rd New England Patriots (7-3)

Patriots are good at week 11.

4. Houston Texans (7-3)

The Texans rolled into Washington and stole a two-point victory over a banged-up Redskins team. But win wins, and now the Texans have the most in AFC South. They have a game left against each AFC South rival and everyone is at home.

5th Los Angeles Chargers (7-2)

Chargers play Broncos on Sunday afternoon.

6th Baltimore Ravens (5-5)

The Ravens stopped a lost ski by starting Lamar Jackson and beat Bengals in a game that will have major playoff implications at the end of the season. Baltimore could not afford to be swept off Cincinnati if you wanted to do a postseason run.

AFC: Who’s Out

7. Cincinnati Bengals (5-5): Bound loss for the Bengals, who did a nice little run when they tried to topple the Ravens.

8. Miami Dolphins (5-5): The Dolphins are on a day of Week 11.

9. Indianapolis Colts (5-5) : Colts Destroyed Absolutely The Titans at home on Sunday. They have a legitimate shot on winning AFC South if they retain this consistency.

10. Tennessee Titans (5-5): Colts held home at Jags to inject some life into his AFC Southern hopes. They may have one of the best offensive lines in the league right now, and Andrew Luck is protected at the high level by the guys in front of him and his coaching staff. This is a dangerous layer.

11. Cleveland Browns (3-6-1): Browns are on bye in week 11.

12. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-7): Jaguars hit of a brutal loss for Steelers who can effectively beat their season, as they are a full four matches behind the Texans with only six matches left. The wild card is also a long shot.

13. Denver Broncos (3-6): Broncos plays charger on Sunday afternoon.

14. Buffalo Bills (3-7): The bills are on bye of Week 11.

15. New York Jets (3-7): Jetsna is on bye of week 11.

16. Oakland Raiders (1-8): Raiders play the cardinals on Sunday afternoon.

NFC: Who’s in

1. Los Angeles Rams (9-1)

Ramsna plays the bosses on Monday night in Los Angeles.

2nd New Orleans Saints (8-1)

The Saints play the eagles on Sunday afternoon.

3rd Chicago Bears (6-3)

Bears play the Vikings on Sunday night.

4th Washington Redskins (6-4)

Washington may have seen their season go up in the fire on Sunday as they lost to Texan’s home and Alex Smith suffered a broken leg that will finish his season. The cowboys are coming strong and Washington is going to join Colt McCoy in Dallas on Thanksgiving.

5th Minnesota Vikings (5-3-1)

The vikings play the bear on Sunday evening.

6th Carolina Panthers (6-4)

The Panthers suffered a hard loss for a really strange Lions team in Detroit and will now have difficulty chasing the Saints in the division.

NFC: Who’s Out

7. Seattle Seahawks (5-5): A thursday victory over Packers gives Seahawks a serious window to try to make a playoff run. It will not happen for the title of the division, but Russell Wilson and Co. can definitely sneak out a wildcard place.

8. Dallas Cowboys (5-5): Do not look now, but here are the cowboys. After winning Atlanta, Dallas sips on the wild cards and in the NFC East.

9. Green Bay Packers (4-5-1): Very tough loss for Green Bay in Seattle on Thursday, as it puts them back when it comes to trying to make the playoffs. The best they can do is to complete 10-5-1 if they win.

10. Philadelphia Eagles (4-5): The Eagles play the Saints in New Orleans on Sunday afternoon.

11. Atlanta Falcons (4-6): Falcon’s disappointing season probably ended on Sunday at home against Cowboys. They are likely to need to win and get to 10-6 to take a shot in

12. Detroit Lions (4-6): The Lions are a confusing Jekyll and Hyde NFL monster and swung back to the positive side with a shocking victory over the pants home on Sunday. 19659002] 13. New York Giants (3-7): Eli Manning is actually playing well right now and the giants do their best to avoid landing a top five pick.

14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-7): Buccaneers played two quarterbacks again Sunday, which sums up their season nicely. Jameis Winston helped them almost hit the giants but just came short.

15. Arizona Cardinals -7): The cardinals play Raiders on Sunday afternoon.

16. San Francisco 49ers (2-8): 49ers are on bye in week 11.
