With their backs to the wall, Portland Trail Blazers does not go without a game in Game 6. Led by their dynamic backcourt by Damian Lillard and CJ. McCollum, who combined for 26 points and five assist in the first half, took the Blazers 58-54 lead into the half-time climate. Rodney Hood also gave Blazers a huge boost when he lost 14 points from the bench in the first half for Portland. Nikola Jokic led the way for Nuggets in the first half with 1 6 points, six assistances and four rebounds, but Denver needs more from the rest of his support during the second half if you want to avoid going home for a game 7. Games 6 storylines

Nuggets: Denver steamed completely Blazers in Game 5. In what was the first blow of the series, Nuggets backcourt duo choked by Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum and led with 18 points in half and 28 points in the fourth quarter rolled around. Can Nuggets continue to make Blazer’s shooters fight from the field while killing Portland on pick-and-roll with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray?

Blazers: Portland had entered Game 5 so evenly matched with Denver. The cumulative score was 464-462 and both teams were bound in free throws and 3-pointers after four matches. But Lillard and McCollum were in control, with both players combining for just 34 points on 4-of-14 shots from the 3-point range (28.5 percent). While the supportive cast headed by Enes Kanter will be crucial, Portland will only go as far as their star backcourt duo leads them.

Games 6 prediction, pick

Although Nuggets have bounced in a big way to win the last two games after a disgusting four overtime battle in Game 3, I can’t see that Blazers is eliminated on their home floor after just six games in the series. This match between the two division’s rivals is so evenly matched that it is only natural that there are seven matches.

I’ll go with Blazers in this as I expect Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum to shoot out after completing the game only 14-of-37 from the field (37.8 percent). They will be extra motivated to drive this series into a game 7 on the Nuggets home floor on Sunday.
