San Francisco 49ers may be 2-9 this year, but that does not mean nobody has looked at them.
After NASA’s InSight landlord successfully touched on Mars’s surface on Monday, two engineers, Brooke Harper and Gene Bonfiglio celebrated with a handshake that might look familiar to 49ers fans.
Harper, a Chiefs fan, said that they copied the celebration between 49ers recipients Marquise Goodwin and Kendrick Bourne after Goodwin made a touchdown against her Chiefs in week 3.
“We knew we were sitting together in the control room and we thought It would be fun just for us two, “she said. “We saw something we liked from a previous game, and we sort of emulated it.”

Bonfiglio, a patriotic fan, said it took them weeks to perfect the handshake.
“We started training it and please break the movie about five to six weeks ago,” he said. “We had to film it in slow motion so we could watch it and break it down.”
