Miranda Lambert is no longer a Shelton – and you do not have to read between the lines in Pistol Annie’s latest song to see her happy!
Lambert, who announced her split from Blake Shelton after four years of marriage in 2015, stars with bandwriter Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley in a non-blocked music video for the trio’s optimistic song “I Renamed My Name”, which makes it bureaucratic hesitated to rename confetti party.
In the opening scene, Lambert, 34, and her classmates treat the Tingshuset as a landing runway in shiny get-ups. With a sparkly mini dress and a fluffy pink coat, Lambert goes to the testimony where she shares a laugh with the official after taking the oath.
“It takes a judge to marry, takes a judge to divorce / well in recent years, spent a lot of time in court / got my name changed back,” she sings as a judge presiding over the courtroom. “Yes, I wanted something new, then I wanted what I had / I got my name changed back.”
“Yes, I have an ex that I loved / but he managed with a couple of roads. / Got my name changed back,” Lambert continues as the courtroom looks surprised. After the hearing, the officer shows a bottle of champagne and the judge holds up a glass of bubbling when the court celebrates.

Next stop is DMV. “I’ve made it possible for a man to get the best of me / Spent an afternoon at DMV / Got my name changed back,” Lambert belts like Gun Annies fill out paperwork and take headshots.
The third destination is a bank – not-so-subtly dubbed the new liberty bank. When Presley takes out a big cash, Lambert sings, “I played to win, look back is funny / I broke his heart and I took his money / Got my name changed back.”
The bank rolls out balloons and a cake – decorated with a bride’s characters and an army facing a groom’s cake.

In September, Gun Annies performed the song at his first full-length concert as a group of five years at the Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
“This next song has nothing to do with us and is not about anyone in this band,” Presley – who wrote the melody with Monroe – clarified before the group was launched in “I got my name changed back”.
“It was fun!” Lambert admired afterwards. “Do you have it?”
In April, when the news broke, as Lambert dated Evan Felker after he called it ends with his wife in February, Shelton tweeted “Added the high way for a long time .. I almost gave up But I can finally see something on the horizon up there !! Wait !! Could it be ?! Yep !! It’s Karma !! “
Shelton would not confirm if he referred to Lambert, confirming she was single again in August. “It was a personal matter that lies in a small circle of my people and that’s why it was written as it was and then people took it and did what they want to do, which I do not want any part of that, “Shelton told Extra .
