Mercedes A220 lifts the bar for “cheap” luxury cars

The rest of the technology inside the A220 is almost as remarkable. The driver’s assistance system is on par with the rest of the market (if you do not factor in Tesla) with adaptive cruise control that shows smooth transitions during mergers and cuts. It will also read characters and slow down your set speed to match the legal speed limit. It is good if you try to limit your traffic crimes, but you can turn it off if you feel comfortable trusting your intestine. In addition, the Lane-Keep Assist kept the vehicle centered in all but the sharpest highway crowns. I discovered that the system shines especially when you are stuck in the gridlock. Nothing like traffic to remind you that most runs are a chore that is best suited for having a robot companion.

Although this may be the “cheap” Mercedes, the interior still expresses the typical Mercedes luxury we have come to expect from the automaker. It has the same design elements that you find in vehicles on the upper level. In addition, there are fun lighting accents that can be customized with 65 different colors and this means that the air valves change color when you adjust the temperature: red if you make it warmer and blue if you cool the cottage down. It’s a goofy little feature (it costs an extra $ 310) that is more fun than it should be. Would I pay for it just to show my friends that the interior changes color when I drive at night? Yes, I would.
