OAKLAND, CA – Kevin Durant says he and Draymond Green have been unable to solve any problems that may be long after a verbal change during and after Monday night overtime traffic for LA Clippers.
The Golden State Warriors suspended Green without paying for Tuesday’s match against Atlanta Hawks to lead to injury to the team.
After not talking to the media Monday evening, Durant offered brief answers when discussing the suspension and his relationship with Green after Tuesday’s 110-103 home win over the hawks. Durant said he believed that he and Green could discuss what happened at some point in time. Green was expected back for the start of a three-game Texas trip starting Thursday against Houston Rockets.
To find a new way to win billions of dollars arenas and unreasonable costs, the NBA becomes a real estate company. But who gets the money – and the competitive advantages?
Draymond Green interrupted a game without paying after hours of organizational conversations Tuesday where senior leaders expressed concern about one of the most volatile episodes in the team’s dynastic drive, sources told ESPN.
“I’m sure it’s coming,” Durant said when asked if the situation with Green could be solved. “We have a long season ahead.”
When asked if he felt green crossed a line Monday night, Durant said he would not come into specific.
“I’ll keep it in my house,” said Durant. “That’s what we do here. Of course, I mean, I know you have jobs, but I’m not trying to give any headlines.” What happened happened. We try to continue – just trying to play basketball. “
Was he Surprised by Greens Suspension?
“I was just focused on the game,” Durant said. “I do not really care, I was just focused on trying to get here and finish this back-to-back-off”.
The tenant of Durant’s comments came on the heels of a strange night in the Oracle Arena that started before the match when Warriors GM Bob Myers and coach Steve Kerr tried their best to release the event.
“Draymond will always be as he is,” Kerr said before the match. “Draymond is a powerful force, you know it. He’s a big reason we’ve had so much success here, and Draymond will continue to play how he plays and I do not see him in any other way.”
When Durant spoke after the match it was obvious that the injured feelings between both men had not yet healed. When asked to describe his friendship with Green, Durant was cool in his tone and response.
“I do not even think it’s up to date right now,” said Durant. “We only had one game. Who wants to talk about the game?”
Durant had 29 points, 6 rebounds and 3 helped in Tuesday’s victory. It is still unclear whether the episode will have any long-lasting effects on the group ahead. Like many within the organization, Durant is not sure if this event will make the group stronger in the long run.
“Who knows?” Durant said. “We’ll see.”
Durant acknowledged that it was strange to be outside without green next to him on the floor.
“I mean, his presence has been a part of this team for a while,” Durant said. “Even before I came here, you know, he has been a huge staple in this organization. So it’s obviously strange not to have him around … and just … everything that went down. But that’s what’s going on I’m just trying to do my best to move on and be a basketball player. I have nothing but to be the best player I can be every day. No other. “
Kerr said he was pleased with how his team handled the emotions of today as a result of Greens suspension.
“Proud of them,” said Kerr. “Not an easy game with a back-to-back. Just like a bit tired, a little emotionally spent and we had to slip out. Despite the guys. It was not our best game but it was a good effort and we were fasting . “
Warrior All-Star swingman Klay Thompson said he thought that winning should cure all the problems from the floor for his group.
“A victory on Thursday,” said Thompson. “And a profit on Saturday and Sunday. When we go on a small profit line [the Green/Durant situation]it does not matter. And it will be like a horse tail.”
Thompson said he thought Durant and Green could work through their problems.
“They are adults, it will be fine,” said Thompson. “I love both of these guys, and at the end of the day we are on the same team with the same goal and it’s three-square. I do not think any of them will lose it, whether it’s personal agenda or anything. I think we will go far beyond that, and we will eventually reach that goal. “
Warriors All Star Guard Stephen Curry missed his third straight game due to a strained left lung. The warriors said they would have an update on their status Wednesday.
