Sirin Labs, a Tel Aviv-based mobile cyber security launch, announced the commercial launch of Finney, “the world’s first ultra-secure blockchain smartphone”.
After announcing plans to create the smartphone in September 2017, the company advanced to the manufacturing and production phase after raising $ 157.8 million in crowdfunding.
The award of $ 999 and approved by global brand ambassador Barcelona FC superstar Lionel Messi, Finney’s price tag is significantly lower than the previous product of Sirin Labs: the $ 16,000 Solarin smartphone, designed for those seeking ultimate mobile security.
The company’s latest invention, named after computer scientist and Bitcoin pioneer Hal Finney, offers a built-in storage wallet to protect private blockchain keys, a multi-layer cyber security suite, innovative crypto payment service and use Sirin Lab’s operating system Sirin OS.
“It is with great pleasure today to reveal that he is the world’s first blockchain smartphone, which was launched by an ambitious startup that could give an idea to mass production in less than a year,” says Sirin Lab’s founder and associate director Moshe Hogeg.
“We are now proud to sell a flagship device that offers the user experience we’ve been thinking of our Sirin OS. We are taking a big step forward to bridge the gap between the blockchain economy and the consumer market. Finney is the mobile and truly secure experience that crypto owners have longed for. “
Sirin Labs, who co-operated with Foxconn International subsidiary FIH Mobile to manufacture Finney, opens two flagship concept stores in London and Tokyo after the product launch. The company’s London store will also serve as a blockchain academy for those interested in decentralized financial technology.
“In an increasingly uncertain digital world where hackers in every corner of the world are looking to steal what they can, consumers need a product that gives them confidence that their data is safe,” said Kenes Rakishev , chairman of Sirin Labs.
“With no solution available before, many crypto users took a step back to a more primitive time and used pen and paper to record their private key code. This and other cold storage solutions are impenetrable to the hack but are also completely impractical for modern life, “adds Rakishev.
” Finney is unique and is the only phone with a built-in storage wallet. There is nothing else like that on the market. “
Finney is currently available for sale on Sirin Lab’s website and will be available on the Amazon Launchpad from January.
