Apple October Event: What We Expect

iPhone XR is the cheapest model in Apple’s 2018 iPhone range and the phone analysts had originally predicted to be the best seller of the gang. But now iPhone XS and XS Max have already been on sale for five weeks and it’s still too early to tell if XR will be able to release their higher end siblings. From Friday at 2 o’clock, some of the colored models in the iPhone XR already showed one to two week delays on Apple’s website, especially for the 128 GB models on T-Mobile.

The price of 749, 749 and 1 122 USD for the 64GB model) means that the iPhone XR is $ 250, £ 250 and AU $ 400 cheaper than the same version of the iPhone XS with many of the same premium features.

The main differences between the two XS phones and XR are the size, the color and the camera. Instead of an OLED screen like the other two, the iPhone XR has a liquid retina LCD screen that is not so sharp and falls in the middle of the other two in size of 6.1 inches. It is also much more colorful with six different colors to choose from, including red, blue, coral, yellow, black and white. And it has an aluminum frame instead of stainless steel. The phone only sticks a rear-facing camera instead of the two XS and XS Max camera sets, which means that it will not be as good as a zoom, and the portrait mode effect is only done with software.

Apple’s October Event

This week Apple also sent invitations to a 30th launch event in New York and not on Apple’s Campus in Cupertino as the last time. Each invitation has different stylized versions of the Apple logo, with over 300 patterns. It also has the word “There’s more to do,” suggesting more products, besides iPhones and Apple Watch, announced the company last month.

Rumors point to an iPhone X-like redesign for iPad Pro with slimmer elements and face ID but without chin or OLED -screen. These tablets come in two sizes, one claimed with an 11-inch screen and the other with a 12.9-inch screen. There is also talk of a cheaper Macbook model that equals the current Airen’s 13-inch retina screen and a Mac Mini update. Other products we could see at this event are new iMacs, a revised Apple Pencil new AirPod and maybe an official release of the AirPower Wireless Charging Matte that has been MIA since it was announced [19659002] Emoji drama in iOS 12.1

And in more “serious news” Apple’s new bagel emoji headlines this week made for its lack of appearance in the iOS 12.1 public beta. 19659010] Users took on Twitter to protest against the sad appearance of this New York staple and demanded justice.

Fortunately, this story has a happy ending since Apple has since changed its bagel to something more edible with thicker bread and a layer of cream cheese greased on top. And Twitter was looking forward to it.

Before and after Apple’s bagel emoji.

This is not the first time users have required changes to an emoji. Last year, Google was in the hot spot of hamburger emoji on Android 8.0, which put cheese on the bottom of the pile instead of at the top of the patty where it apparently belongs. Google CEO Sundar Pichai raised the question on Twitter and restored the order for Android users by placing the cheese in its rightful place in the next version of emoji.
