Huawei has announced the Nova 4 smartphone after a few weeks of retrieving its most outstanding feature: the circular “hole stroke” cut-out for the 25 megapixel selfie camera. Samsung turned Huawei to the strike (…) by announcing similar Galaxy A8s last week, but Huawei’s phone seems to have a smaller hole for the camera. We need to see if it has any impact on image quality.
Last week Huawei delmark Honor semi-announced View 20, a phone that looks like it will be quite common with Nova 4. Apart from the same punch design, both phones have 48-megapixel primary cameras on the back. It’s part of a three-camera setup on Nova 4, but Honor has not shown of View 20 from behind yet. Unlike View 20, Nova 4 is powered by the Kirin 970 processor located in View 1
0 and Huawei P20 Pro; Honor’s newer phone will use the newer Kirin 980.
Other Nova 4 specifications include a 6.4-inch 2310 x 1080 screen, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 18W fast USB charging -C, and a 3.750mAh battery.
Nova 4 will cost 3,399 yuan (about $ 490) for a model with the above specifications, but there is a cheaper $ 3,099-yuan ($ 450) variant that replaces the 48-megapixel sensor with a 20-megapixel device. The phone is likely to go to India and Europe after the launch in China.
