LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (WESH) – A food worker at a restaurant in Disney Springs has recently been diagnosed with hepatitis A.
Florida Department of Health in Orange County (DOH-Orange ) has identified hepatitis A infection in a food officer at the Morimoto Asia restaurant, located at 1600 East Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, officials said Wednesday.
Concerned Morimoto Asia customers can provide their information and a recall number at 877-404-3821.
According to health officials, anyone who consumed any food or drink in this restaurant from 6 to 16 November 2018 may have been exposed to the hepatitis A virus.
Cartridges should monitor the symptoms of hepatitis A infection that include sudden onset of abdominal pain, dark urine, fever, diarrhea and yellow skin and eyes (jaundice). Anyone experiencing these symptoms should immediately seek medical attention.
Hepatitis A vaccine or immunoglobulin (IG) can provide protection against the disease if given within two weeks of exposure. Therefore, those who consume food or drink in the restaurant between November 6, 2018 and November 19, 2018 should contact their healthcare provider immediately to receive vaccination.
