Alex on Autos continues his deep test reviews of Tesla Model 3 – after the basic version Standard version tested a few weeks ago, now it is time for the opposite – the top of the line Performance version.
One of the most interesting things that was noticed was the supply and energy consumption, which proved to be one of the best in electrical and electronic products (no surprise here), but at the same time under EPA figures.
Alex L. Dykes found that the range for the standard version was about 200 miles instead of up to 240 miles, while the performance version was good for 265 miles, instead 310 miles (almost 15% less). Part of the reason may be special tires and wheels.
The estimated energy consumption in the Performance version was, of course, higher than the standard version as it is a heavier car (larger battery, higher power drive):
- Performance 3.5 mil / kWh
- Standard: 3.9-4.0 miles / kWh
In addition to that, the Performance version is so much faster (measured 0-60 mph for 3.3 seconds) than Standard (biggest change). It can be charged more quickly thanks to its 1
1.5 kW built-in charger (Standard has about 7.5 kW charger) and up to 250 kW DC at super charger (the standard version can be approximately 100 kW).
Performance model 3
The operating scale is high A + while the run and sound are only C- which provides space for infotainment and program functions. improvements. Braking distance (60-0 mph) is 111.8 m, which is very good.
