COMMACK, NY – Commack Walmart was evacuated Sunday afternoon after a five men started a fight and kicked the fear of a shooting.

Initial reports of an active shooter in the shop at 85 Crooked Hill Road sent customers who run for the exits.

“I do not like to stop shaking. My heart is still pounding”, a mom of two who was in the store at the time written on Twitter. “Everybody started running, I had my 8 years, but we got divorced from my fiancé and my five years … total nightmare.”

According to Suffolk County Police, several police officers in Suffolk County and New York State Police responded to Walmart after receiving 91

1 talks about an active shooter in the store at 12:50 am Sunday.

On arrival, the officers decided that there were no shots shot or weapons involved, the police said.

Further investigation revealed that five men began a confusion in the store; one man seemed to hit another man while the other three men played video at the staged dusk, the police said.

The sound of the sound caused some people to believe that a shot could have been fired and one of the men shouted, “There is a gun!” the police said.

There was no shot or weapon and there were no injuries. The investigation continues, police said.
