Instant messaging has become one of the main uses we give our smartphone every day thanks to applications for this use as WhatsApp, Telegram, or unofficial customers of this service, such as Plus Messenger, that seems to us without a doubt the best option.
And the fact is that when we talk about these types of applications, Google is not usually on the list, either with Hangouts or Google Allo, the truth is that the US company has not managed to launch an application that fits in this sense. And now, as it happens every couple of years, it seems that the American firm is going to carry out radical changes in the application of Messages.
As you know, Google is one of those companies that we like a lot, due, among other things, to what is multidisciplinary, and that, whatever the market, the company can have a very interesting alternative that we can try. However, he seems to be not having much luck in recent years with instant messaging.
And, after the departure of Google Allo, Google decided to kill Hangouts, and now it seems that it wants to stop the development of its latest commitment to instant messaging to give a radical change to the application of messages, which, as you can read in The Verge, it would be called RCS.
This application, which has the advantage of having already been installed on more than 100 million devices, would be the answer to the prayers of Google, which does not take off any of its instant messaging projects, in addition to that it would have a client of desk, so we can use it quietly while we are on the computer.
Google, despite these changes that it plans to do, has admitted that it will not have the same control that Apple has over iMessage, and will not have the same security protections as other applications such as Telegram -which never disappoints in this sense-
