Google on Thursday announced its smart speaker Home will now be able to answer Hindi with unique Indian contexts. Already available on Hindi smart phones, people can now speak to Google Assistant smart speakers in the language, the company said in a statement. Note that this is just the official announcement, as Google Home was discovered to receive support from Hindi last week.
Open the Google homepage on your smartphone, touch the Account icon in the lower right corner, then select Settings . When navigating to the Assistant tab, select Language then replace English with Hindi. This would mean that Hindi becomes the primary language, and you will not be able to use English along with at Google Home. You can also select Add a language and insert Hindi as your secondary language. Just say “Ok Google” to start a conversation with Google Home Assistant.
“Our team has been hard at work teaching the assistant at Google Home to understand Hindi, and it will now respond to you with unique Indian contexts. The assistant is already available in Hindi on your smartphone, and now you can also get handsfree help in Hindi to get things done in your world, “says Purvi Shah, Technical Program Manager, Google Assistant.
This feature will help many users to use Google Assistant to daily listen to listening to favorite music.
“This is just the beginning. Your Google Assistant at Google Home will continue to improve over time ̵
