As the giant head coach Pat Shurmur explained after Apple trade, the organization wants to give younger players on the roster a chance to play in the second half of the season. They also acquire quite a war chest to go up in the NFL draft on various rounds.

“This will provide an opportunity for some young players and newer players to have the opportunity to play,” said Shurmur Tuesday. “Plus, as we look at this matter forward, we will have a draft package – actually two draft picks, a next year and really a year 2020, in value.”
