Former President George H.W. Bush will be taken to Washington DC on board the Air Force One on Monday morning to stay in the state at the US Capitol.
However, the 41st president in the United States last flight will receive a special difference, CNN reports. On Sunday, Bob’s spokeswoman Jim McGrath tweeted that the flights will be called “Special Air Mission 41.”
The aircraft is known by many, as the Air Force One only acts as such when the US president is on board. Since President Donald Trump will not use the planet on Monday and Wednesday, the aircraft has been redesigned as “Special Air Mission 41
On the flight from Houston to Washington DC, the 41st President’s sons, George W. Bush, US 43rd President, and Neil Bush and several grandchildren, said CNN. Family relatives on the flight will include George H.W. Bush’s former staff manager Jean Becker and Secretary of State James Baker.
Even on Sunday, McGrath shared a photo of Bush’s service dog Sully, located in front of the president’s chest.
Although his time with Bush has ended, Sully will continue to earn by working with wounded American veterans.
Bush will be in the state of the US Capitol Rotunda until Wednesday morning, followed by a funeral at the Washington National Cathedral. Afterwards, Bush will fly back to Texas and be laid to rest on George H.W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas near his wife Barbara, who died in April and his daughter Robin.
White House announced on Saturday that Trump and the first lady Melania Trump will attend Wednesday’s service at the National Cathedral. While their presence is not yet certain, it is likely that former presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter will also participate.
The relationship between the 41th president and the four other men varied greatly. Bush’s note to Bill Clinton as Clinton took office has become viral in the days since Bush’s death, while both Obama and his wife Michelle have expressed long tribute to Bush. Michelle also interrupted the date of his European book tour to attend the funeral.
Trump and the Bush family, however, were often unbearable, while the 41th president called Trump “blowhard” when working on a book published in 2017.
