If it is not already clear, many people play Fortnite. Now Epic has shared some further details about how popular the battle is.
The developer confirmed Wall Street Journal that it reached 200 million players worldwide, which is 60 percent from the 125 million player Epic revealed in June. It is very solid growth. Not only that, but Epic also confirmed that the game reached a top 8.3 million player record at the same time, rising from 4.3 million simultaneous players back in February.
It is not immediately clear if the 200 million and 8.3 million simultaneous players numbers cover both the free Fortnite: Battle Royale and the paid save world mode. In any case, the kind of royal fashion is certainly much more popular.
In other Fortnite news, the game has added a new gifting feature as part of the great new 6.31
update that came out today and also added a new location and more. You can learn more about the 6.31 update in GameSpots coverage here.
