A Florida deputy killed three family members, then confessed to a crash radio call to other officers before killing himself near a school, despite colleagues’ accusations on Wednesday, police said.

Authorities were called to the location near the Plant City High School after the Hillsborough County sheriff’s deputy, who has not been identified, provided information about murder that occurred in two homes, reported FOX13.

“Today I stand before you with an extremely heavy heart,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister at a press conference. “Saddened and disheartened about the events that occurred early this morning.”

The deputy arrived at the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office head radio channel shortly after 6:30 on Wednesday and told officers he “caused harm to his family,” said Chronister. The deputy said that he killed two family members in one home and another at a second residence and provided information about where to locate their bodies.

The deputy said during the radio transmission that he would kill himself in high school, which led officers to rush to their place in an attempt to stop him.

Despite his efforts, he took his own life in front of his colleagues, according to the police.

“Unfortunately, the deputy took his own life on stage before the three deputies,” said Chronister.

The police later found a woman and a child in a home. Another woman was located at the second residence described by the deputy. Their identities and their relationship with the deputy have not been released in anticipation of family reporting.

It is unclear why the alternate performed the slayings. Chronists said the Deputy Health and Finance Affairs during its cryptic radio transmission.

“We are not exactly what it means,” added Chronister. “It will be included in the investigation.”

The deputy began working for the Hillsborough County Sheriff Department in 1991 before leaving two years ago. He was rehired this summer this summer to be part of security on campus in a primary school.

Chronists said that the deputy previously received “glowing” recommendations and there was no indication that he would commit crimes. [19659015]
