Just a few years after Fallout 4’s release, Bethesda fans surprised by officially announcing Fallout 76, the next post in his beloved post-apocalyptic RPG franchise. The new game was revealed in a trailer for a series of teases, and Bethesda discussed it more in detail on the E3 2018 and QuakeCon 2018. We also got an opportunity to play the game in a new preview. But the game is out now, and we have just just begun to make progress in Bethesda’s exciting adventure.
In order for you to stay up to date on all that is available about Fallout 76, we have compiled all the information we have on the game so far: the platforms it is on, its online functionality, its anti-griefing features and where the game fall into the series timeline.
If you have played beta, you will be pleased to know that the game is receiving a launch day update that contains lots of new content. Meanwhile, look out for our full review, as well as a host of guides to help you get started in the game.
Our Fallout 76 Early Review Impressions
“Fallout 76 tries to draw some very new ideas for the series, but with few exceptions, they reduce the many aspects of the game. Many players are fun, but it’s not an ideal way to enjoy of questing, and the shooting mechanics are not strong enough to make fun-filled activities fun for long periods of time. It feels better as a solo experience, but the lack of characters in the universe becomes emotionally invested in the world and your goals are difficult. “Read through the full early examination views.
What is Fallout 76?
Fallout 76 is a prequel to all previous Fallout games. Set in 21
02 you play a Vault 76 resident who came from protection 25 years after the bombs fell on America. Your task is simple: explore what remains of post-apocalyptic America and rebuild civilization.
Longtime fans are likely to recognize Vault 76; Although it is not a place we have visited before, it is not the series mentioned first. Both Fallout 3 and 4 refer it and, according to Fallout Wikia, this West Virginia-based vault was occupied by 500 of America’s best and brightest senses. Unlike the more grotesque experimental elections in the Fallout universe, Vault 76 is a control vault designed to open 20 or so years after a nuclear war. But if the vault would open 20 years after the bombs fell, why have 25 years passed? The story has some surprises in place for those who are willing to deal with their myriad challenges.
Fallout 76 uses the Creation Engine, the same engine used to make Fallout 4, but it will obviously have much more graphic detail than its predecessor. Game Director Todd Howard has said that Fallout 76 has new rendering and lighting technology, enabling “16 times” the details.
Who’s developing it?
Bethesda Game Studios, the Maryland-based developer responsible for the older role series, and both Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, is at work at the game. In addition, Bethesda Game Studios Austin – former BattleCry Studios – has helped fine-tune the Creation Engine to support multiplayer functionality.
Is it an online survival game?
Fallout 76 is a very different kind of game from its predecessor. It is “completely online”, but do not worry, you will also be able to play the solo. According to Bethesda, the idea of taking this global survival approach came four years ago when it began to build a multiplayer Fallout experience. Howard described the game’s way of surviving as “softcore”, meaning death does not correspond to loss of progression.
You can form a party with up to three other players. You will not be able to manage your location on servers when you log in, because you are automatically logged into a session with others when you start the game. Of course, you also have the opportunity to simply go with your friends and play together.

Howard commented that Fallout 76 will have dedicated servers that will support the game “now and for years to come.” At the launch there will be only public servers, but Bethesda plans to introduce private servers that allow players to invite friends to play to prevent unwanted behavior.
Some classic mechanics from previous games will change to accommodate the transition to online games. For example, V.A.T.S has been reconfigured to work in real time, while players can target specific body‘s body parts. But this time it has been updated to be more of a tool that allows you to detect hazards in the environment.
How big is the world?
According to Howard, Fallout 76 is world four times larger by Fallout 4. There are six different regions to explore, each having its own unique style, risks and rewards. Confirmed areas include the West Virginia State Capitol, The Greenbrier, Woodburn Circle, the New River Gorge Bridge and Camden Park. Within each area there are a host of new creatures to meet, some of which are based on western guglinic folklore. You can see the entire map in the picture below.

What can you do?
Like previous games, players spend the majority of their time exploring and completing quests. Fallout 76, however, has no human non-player characters, as all survivors are guided by active players. Instead, the game uses a combination of robot NPCs, collectibles and environmental history to give players what they need to control missions and history in general.
Considering the game’s ability to rebuild the world, there are basic building elements similar to Fallout 4. You can set up a base somewhere with an object called Mobile Platform Construction and Assembly or CAMP These can be placed down the world and let you construct an improvised camp. We had to watch the player lay down walls and decorate the base with pool tables, restrooms and other household items. As the “mobile platform” part of the name suggests, your CAMP can also be downloaded and moved so you can move your base anywhere in the world.
While you can help build the world, you can also destroy it. If you have the necessary kernel resolution codes, it is actually possible to access a missile silo to shoot a key at any time on the map. By doing so, the selected area is irradiated, but it also allows the possibility of detecting rare weapons, tools and objects. Be careful; Nuking an area also causes more powerful enemies to appear, making it harder to survive. But do not be put off by this, C.A.M.P. The Blueprint system makes it easy for players to quickly build their homes and if they are subject to a threat, they can pack their stuff and move to a new location.
As an online experience, the choice of players is extremely important, as far as giving players the freedom to choose who are the heroes and who are the bad guys. Early photographs show multiple players participating in combat and participating in friendly activities, which seems to indicate that players have the freedom to choose their paths in Fallout 76.
How does character creation and progress work?
There are similar font creation tools like Fallout 4. However, you are free to change your appearance anytime. In addition, you can also take advantage of the game’s new photo mode during creation to better see what your character looks like, as well as capture some photos you can share on social media.
The SPECIAL system returns and it is a bit different. Like previous games, SPECIAL includes the following statistics: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck. You get a score to post in any of these stats each time you get up. The first thing you do when you get out of the vault selects a SPECIAL and then you choose an advantage in the special. Essentially, each SPECIAL is a credit score for your benefits.
But unlike previous games, benefits are now short you can equip and unlock when you rank in a particular SPECIAL; However, you are free to replace cards at any time if you want to change your building. Each SPECIAL feature you develop has a deck of SEK 15. These perk cards can be further improved from one to five points to increase their power.
You can get additional bonus cards via Perk Card Packs (four random cards), which you earn each two levels initially (1-10), and then every 5 after that. You can also choose a perk card per level, usually from your SPECIAL selection. There are hundreds of Perks cards that you can unlock, so of course, SPECIAL-RACKS will be lure for a while (you’ll get a rating in a SPECIAL every time you get up). At level 50 you will stop raising SPECIAL ratings, but you will still get short packs.
How does PvP work?
When shooting someone do a little damage, which can be compared to easily slapping them to challenge them to a duel. In response to this, the other player may choose to ignore or engage. If they violate you, they start to take full harm. The person killed in this consent PvP match has the opportunity to seek revenge. If you choose to ignore a PvP match, there is no opportunity to avoid being killed – despite the slight injury you had during the initial stages. If you are killed by a player under these circumstances, this player becomes a Wanted Murderer and will not receive any rewards from killing you.
A desired murderer is marked on the map as a red star and a bounty is laid on their head. Players who want to make money on this bounty are not visible on the murderer’s map. If the killer is killed, the money from the bounty is taken out of stock.
To give players time to correctly acclimate how Fallout 76 plays, PvP will not be available to players to level five. And if you die from any PvP meeting, it’s only you lose the junk you’ve collected, which can be recovered after death if it’s not already taken up by other players. You can always store junk in stashes around the world to protect some of your inventory. Armor and weapons are kept in your inventory after death.
We recently got a hands-on with a Fallout 76 building. It plays in the same way as Fallout 4, but it contains some new additions that subtly displace the paradigm determined by previous records in series. We have to experience three hours of the game, explore a decent piece of opening area while we take up assignments and work in conjunction with the players around us. There’s a lot to pack up on how the upcoming multiplayer open-world RPG, so be sure to watch the video above and read our full thoughts in our in-depth preview with information about what we got to play.
