The Facebook application for Android has begun to receive new changes at the interface level , that the users had been waiting for a while. Although the social network app receives changes almost weekly, from time to time there are new features that are worth highlighting. And this is one of those occasions.
As they point out, the application of the social network led by Mark Zuckerberg has finally been updated to adopt one of the most interesting functions of, besides incorporating some aesthetic change to give greater uniformity to the interface of the application .
The first relevant change in the new version of Facebook is the new adaptive icon . In Android 8.0 Oreo, a new icon system was introduced, which allowed developers to create a single image for their application, following the Google guidelines, which would later adapt to the customization layer of any manufacturer automatically, thus offering a uniform experience in the interface. Little by little, the vast majority of popular applications have been adopting this system, and Facebook has been one of the last to do so.
While some users have reported that the adaptive icon of the application has a somewhat strange appearance , we imagine that it will be polished with the passing of the weeks. Thanks to this system, it is also possible to change the shape of all the icons through a third-party launcher, and ensure that everyone has an adapted interface.
On the other hand, as you can see in the photograph on these lines, the application settings now incorporate a new collection of icons -to the right-, larger and with new colors. This change, unlike the adaptive icon, seems to be coming after a Facebook update at the server level, and not through the update to the latest version of the application available on Google Play.
